Rhodie Rawls, Executive Director

What a privilege to have a job where you go to work every day knowing that your purpose and focus is to make life better for children who are survivors of abuse or neglect. It is my hope that you are checking out our website because you share my passion for serving children.

I have worked with child victims for many years and have witnessed the difference a dedicated volunteer advocate can make as they serve as the eyes and ears for a judge in court proceedings and become a powerful voice for that child. And CASA is built on the premise of dedicated volunteers investing their time in order to serve the best interests of children who have been victims of child abuse or neglect. It is these dedicated volunteers that make CASA work and as such, we are always looking for new folks who would like to leave a legacy through the life of a child.

My response that I often share when someone expresses concern about the emotional turmoil you sometimes must face in working with our children, is "This is not about me, its about the kids." My personal convictions tell me that each of us are created for two purposes - first to serve God and then to serve others. I can think of no greater opportunity to serve others than to serve these most vulnerable children, to ensure that they are placed in a safe, permanent home as quickly as possible.

Every child deserves a voice and someone to speak for them. It is my hope you will consider being that voice.
